Cleanup tag[edit]
Cleanup just means that the article should conform to the style guide. What you added should be formatted better to make it easier to read. I'm not a style expert, but I can try to reformat one entry for you. Being a stub just means that more information is needed. My guess is that many of those pages will wait a long time before anything else is added. I'll do a little formatting on Seligman so you can get some ideas. - Thanks for the quick response. the Hatch Act of 1939 is of interest to me cause I'm currently working on the Ware group. And I know membership in the CPUSA among government employees was illegal prior to the Hatch Act, but I can't put my finger on the specific law (Ware group was in existence as early as 1933). re: Congresses[edit]
Hi, and thanks for your input. I agree entirely with your point about the format of the Senate lists—I did it that way at first. I chose the format I did because A) First United States Congress had already been designed as "the" template, and B) the Contents list gets really excessively long, I think, with the 99th Congress format. I'm not really worried about (A) anymore, as the old WikiProject seems to have died. Is there a way to layout a page basically like the 99th Congress, but without the 150+ entries in the Contents? If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Howdy, friend! Excellent work on NM-related articles. I just wanted to say hey since I might find myself, a lifelong New Yorker, transplanted out west 'round Albuquerque. This isn't definite, but having been to Albuquerque once I can say that I like it very much and it's as good a place as any to relocate to...if you would like to talk about New Mexico or Wikipedia or whatever feel free to leave me a message, if I do relocate I'm going to need to get to know some people. I'm surprised I haven't noticed you until now. I wanted to thank you for starting the Thomas Catron article, (which has been on my list for a while, but apparently I had just never searched it with his middle initial--make redirects homie!) when I noticed how much you've done on NM. I've done a few articles on the state myself (Sandia Pueblo, Carson National Forest, Rini Templeton, Reies Tijerina) and I just started one in which you may be interested: Spanish Governors of New Mexico.
