NIMT[edit]

Is there any reason why you took the EF class picture off the NIMT article? --Lholden 03:29, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I felt that there was too many images and not enough text; and that the layout of the article looked odd with the picture there too. I think just the map is enough for now. If more text is added -- for example perhaps a paragraph or section dedicated to the electrification of the NIMT between HAM-PN I wouldn't mind the EF photo being added back. North Auckland Line[edit]

I've got to be honest - I dislike what you've done to the North Auckland Line article. Maybe you've got something more planned, as I notice you've made lots of separate edits, but I just don't understand why you've replaced good, flowing prose with a mediocre list, and why you've removed the expandable table listing stations and replaced it with a long list that takes up a lot of page space. Why do you think the current version is an improvement over the old? I'd rather return to what we had. - Axver 07:13, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your quick reply. I see where you're coming from. I suppose the difficulty in writing prose in a chronological sequence is due to the fact stuff was happening all over the place. The list you've created certainly does give a more ordered foundation upon which to write new prose. I don't know if you wish to do it; if no-one else does, I suppose I'll turn it into prose myself soon, though I'm working on creating articles for all of the South Island lines at the moment (only a few left now!). - Axver 07:29, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Auckland railway lines template[edit]

Hi James - your templates have some of the stations italicised, and we aren't sure why only some? can you explain, otherwise I'm intending to make that consistent - it's obviously been confusing other people as well. Cheers, Ingolfson (talk) 09:34, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your query. I have provided a response to the Template_talk:Auckland_western_line discussion page. James Pole (talk) 01:12, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know that I recently copied the above image that you uploaded to Wikipedia over to WikiMedia Commons. The image had been tagged with the {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}} template. Your image is now available to all Wikimedia projects at the following location: Commons:File:Manurewa Train Station.jpg. The original version of the image uploaded to Wikipedia has been tagged with WP:CSD#I8. During the move I changed the name of the image to better reflect Naming Conventions policy, the article that contained the image has been updated to reflect the new name as it exists now on Commons. Cheers! --Captain-tucker (talk) 15:52, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:38523920 f2bdd6e008.jpg[edit]

File:38523920 f2bdd6e008.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Manurewa Train Station.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Manurewa Train Station.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 16:01, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:10, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
