Vampyric Black Metal

That first link in my VfD comment... I'm not sure whether I like the idea of them being intended as descriptions instead of genres or not. Come on: "Canadian War Assault"??? That's an even worse description than it is an attempt at a genre name!

I'm thinking you're right that vampyric black metal isn't a genre so much as a neologistic description for certain black metal. And I'm probably going to vote to delete on the grounds that it's not a widespread enough description to be validly included. I'm a little hesitant though just because black metal's not really my thing (I'm more into gothic and symphonic metal, so the closest to black metal that I listen to would be stuff like Therion) and the proliferation of metal sub-genres makes it a little difficult to pick out what's real and what's somebody trying to be influential.
