"Minor" edits[edit]

Hi S. Thanks a lot for the work on the musical articles. One little thing you might want to be aware of: "minor" edits generally refer to noncontroversial things like correcting typos and formatting. If you add or remove any amount of actual content, however, small, it's best not to mark it as "minor", e.g. your recent edits to Symphony No. 8 (Bruckner). Thanks! Notability of Olivier Py[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Olivier Py, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Olivier Py seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Olivier Py, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. December 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Herbert von Karajan, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Miguel.mateo (talk) 14:41, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello S.Camus! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 944 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Julia Varady - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

PLEASE delete this article and leave me alone, you blithering idiot. The article referred to has been edited over FIFTY times since I last had anything to do with it (which was FOUR AND A HALF YEARS AGO), and I'm the one you frown at? And what for exactly, by the way? What is "potentially controversial" about this article? Wikipedia is full of misinformation and terrible English and you bother me with this article I have next to nothing to do with? What's wrong with you? Wikipedia has been run in the most inept possible way for some time now, there's no way I'm wasting my time with it anymore.--S.Camus (talk) 14:42, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're Getting Old[edit]

Hi. Please do not add unsourced material or original research to articles, as you did with this edit to You're Getting Old, as this violates Wikipedia's policies of No Original Research and Verifiability. Unsourced personal observations on pop culture references are not permitted, as any material on the episode's content must be supported by reliable secondary sources that explicitly mention the episode's use of it. This type of material was already removed from the article yesterday for this reason. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 20:35, 10 June 2011 (UTC) I can't imagine by what stretch of idiocy anyone could call the sentence you removed a "personal observation". It is a factual description – which makes the "unsourced" bit equally preposterous. "This type of material was already removed from the article yesterday for this reason." So what? What has this got to do with me?S.Camus (talk) 07:49, 23 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello?[edit]

Are you still here, S.Camus?--Shirt58 (talk) 12:57, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Orchestra Mozart requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ukexpat (talk) 18:55, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
