What is the source of Image:Robert Cray.JPG? I have tagged it as {{nosource}}, which means that it will be deleted unless the source is identified. Side project

Since you're involved with pages for notable players, I thought I'd suggest you might tackle some of the names at Baseball Hall of Fame balloting, 2006#Final ballots. Some of these Negro Leaguers are likely to be elected to the HoF in February, and it would be useful if their articles were ready by then. It's tough to guess how many will be elected, though some of the committee members have suggested as many as ten. A few of the prominent ones already had (brief) articles, and I started one for Biz Mackey (who seems to be the likeliest selection), but there are about two dozen remaining. (Anyone who's really ambitious can tackle the additional ones - Baseball Hall of Fame balloting, 2006#Screening process - who didn't make the final ballot.) MisfitToys 22:43, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

Baseball on Wikicities

Hello TrafficBenBoy, Googie Man here and I want to ask you something as a fellow baseball fan on Wikipedia. Jimbo and Angela have made a new webstie called Wikicities. This link in particular will take you to the baseball Wikicity. As you'll see it's similar to Wikipedia, but my hope is this will allow baseball fans to do more and different things, like reporting on games, in depth statistics, create mulitple pages for pictures, and whatever else baseball fans care to create. You've done great work on Wikipedia and I was hoping you could help get this baseball Wikicity off the ground. Baseball on Wikicities, part II

Hi again TrafficBenBoy, thanks for your response to your email. So far I've gotten some questions on how Wikicities baseball will offer something substantially different from what you can do on Wikipedia, and I think it's a really good question. I believe that the answer to this question ultimately comes down to freedom. Wikipedia content must ultimately conform to encyclopedic standards. This of course has it's merits, but baseball fans aren't allowed to do things which most generally like to do, which is speculate on who is a better player or team, or expound upon their own theories. My hope is that Baseball Wikicities will become THE place for baseball fans to have a community. If someone goes to a game and wants to report on it, it would be great if they went to Wikicities and wrote a play by play write up. I'll bet that our visitors can write a better and more interesting write up than you can find on any other website too. I'm sure there are a lot of other possibilities I haven't even thought of yet. Thanks for your support. Throw away this work could be a bad precedent for future projects. Dates in baseball, I think, serves as a complement to This Year in Baseball. A major issue is page size – the 2005 in baseball article, for example, is almost 100K (about three times the recommended page size), and doesn't even include any births yet (for obvious reasons). Speedy deletion of Template:Baseball portal/Did you know?

I noticed this because other articles also were copied from there, or vice versa, including Wilbur Cooper, which I saw proposed for speedy deletion.
