Hi Võrolang, do you speak the Võro language? If yes, would you be interested in a Wikipedia in Võro language? If yes, post your proposal here: [1]. Greetings and best wishes for you and your language -- CdaMVvWgS 16:16, 29 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Hi! Yes, I'm a native speaker of Võro. Thank you! Maybe I'll try to do Wikipedia in Võro. Best wishes! Võrolang.

Image Tagging Image:Voromkaart.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Voromkaart.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Translation Help[edit]

Hy there,

i'm in a bit of a problem. Where on the Internet can i find a good estonian to english translation site ?

Or, even better, where can i find someone to help me translate en estonian site ?

I'm doing research on the Estonian Civil Protection services, but don't speak the language. Ain't that a break.

Cheers and thanx for all the help that you can send my way. Miguel

It's better to ask in Estonian Wikipedia [[2]]. I'am dealing more with Võro language. --Võrolang 09:32, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

February 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page Talk:South Estonian dialects has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. J.delanoygabsadds 23:31, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Template:Uralic languages. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Miacek and his crime-fighting dog (woof!) 14:40, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits are being discussed at WP:COIN[edit]

Hello Võrok. See the discussion at WP:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Advice needed. It has been suggested that you are editing Wikipedia articles to reflect the POV of an organization you belong to. You are welcome to provide your side of the story in that discussion. Since I know nothing at all about this dispute, and the readers of WP:COIN may be in the same situation, perhaps you can provide some general background to allow us to understand the dispute. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 03:58, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information. The discussion is going on on the talk pages of the articles Võro language and South Estonian language. You can find there also my explanations.--Võrok (talk) 09:29, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 7[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tilde, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Võro. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that TimedText:Pink Floyd Several Species.ogg.vro.srt, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi, thank you for the message. First of all, these Võro subtitles reflect really the way how the absurd and surrealstic text of this piece of song sounds for me, a Võro-speaking person. Well, of course I really didn't mean anything very serious making these subtitles. My idea was to illustrate an absurd and surrealistic thing adding to it a detail (subtitles to part of the song that does have not any meaningful text) that would seem also absurd, needless, meaningless, surrealistic. So, yes it is rather a joke than a very serious act. I do not think these subtitles with the meaning I just explained harm the audio example or the article, on the countrary, I think they contribute to them in a positive way. But if it really seems to be something so negative that should be deleted.. well, I am a bit sad about it and would like at least to contest that oppinion. But I did not find on the linked page a button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". It is not a very serious and important thing for me but I just woud like to explain my motives by the contesting (that I was unable to do), as I did it here.--Võrok (talk) 09:44, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
