Hi there, I just wanted to say thanks for cathing my error about Greece on toilet paper, I didn't realise that this might be the case in parts of the US as well. Cheers :) fabiform | talk 19:14, 1 Feb 2004 (UTC).

The first time I heard of this was when I was an exchange student in France. Some of my friends had Greek flatmates and had no idea how to politely tell them not to put their toilet paper in the bathroom bin (my friends were just too shy I guess!). I did a google for something like greece toilet paper before adding it, and that confirmed it. Perhaps I should have done a broader search and then I might have found out about the US too. It does sort of contradict the opening paragraphs though, as it says there that toilet paper is suitable for septic tanks. fabiform | talk 19:36, 1 Feb 2004 (UTC)

WikiProject Louisville growing and changing[edit]

WikiProject Louisville is sprouting its wings for 2007! We have a new Assessment Department and a much more refined project template. We have nearly 1,000 articles catalogued for our project. And we still have a lot of work to do. We have 500+ articles left to assess for quality, and all our articles, as always, need tender loving care. Please consider dropping by the project and seeing what you might be able to do to move Louisville-related articles forward. Cheers, and Happy New Year! Stevie is the man! the Gross bio[edit]

(I foundit by accident) The p. you tried to speedy looks to me like a misconceived tribute from a jackass of a grandchild. In fact, I think it a blant violation of BLP, and pending resolution I deleted the photo & an obnoxious paragraph that you too noticed. Im not an admin or I would have immediately deleted it. Not sure if you are, but you'll have the experience to know what to do. DGG 06:12, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Wesley Robert Dean attack[edit]

Thanks, but it seems like you've been doing most of the work :). If this user continues to vandalize, it shouldn't be hard to get him blocked. Keep up the good work, Dar-Ape 03:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just happened to be the admin who crossed this. Just wondering why did you blank this page? Cheers! —— Eagle101 Need help? 02:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, well since the admin has to look anyway, its easier for the admin if you just add the tag, without blanking. Cheers! —— Eagle101 Need help? 03:25, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Grey Baskerville has left the building[edit]

After surviving AfDs, Doug Thorley and Magoo are still up, but both could use better sourcing. I'm wondering if you've got back issues of Hot Rod, Car Craft, National Dragster, & the like that would help. Ditto on Jake, Showboat, The Mantaray, Ed Donovan, Donovan hemi, Silhouette, and a few others I've created lately. (Have a look at my userpage under the "Open Vanity" 3&4.) Any help you can be would be very much appreciated. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 23:58, 27 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Louisville
WikiProject Louisville Newsletter (April 2024)
Believe it or not, WikiProject Louisville is still in operation after nearly 18 years, and we're in the Top 40 most active projects.

Recent Project Happenings

  • Since fall of last year, the project has undergone a major revamp. All pages of the project have been redesigned and largely rewritten. Of special note to members is that we're now listed participants. It's a slightly different mode of operation that WikiProjects have been gradually moving toward – instead of being like a club, we're an action center! Check out our Participation & outreach page for more details.
  • We have over 6,800 articles included in the project and over 21,000 pages (including talk pages) overall.

Derby 150 Edit-a-thon, Anyone?

Your input is welcomed on having an edit-a-thon to commemorate the 150th Kentucky Derby. It would take place during the Kentucky Derby Festival.
