Goldwasser[edit]

I was scratching my head for a moment there. Anyway, it's time to watch Scotland slaughter England. SilkTork 17:31, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tuttle: "forgotten in a week."[edit]

I could not help noticing, that the auspicious "one week" mark was passed last friday. Of course, when you wrote that, you had no idea that Mr. Taylor would write to THe Register, and ask them, in their hyperbolic words, to "shut down the internet." And now comes the wonderful story in the Tuttle Times: "[CentOS is] a free operating system that this guy gives away, which tells you how much time he’s got on his hands.”

In all fairness, you may not be far off. It will, perpaps, be forgotten in two weeks. But meanwhile, I just wanted to share this development. It had me laughing for a good fifteen minutes. Then again, it is winter in Alaska, so I am easily amused. --VonWoland 03:57, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've been following it all right, and I saw that Register article (although the "shut down the internet" headline was somewhat misleading IIRC.) So it has made the Tuttle Times! Must check that out... -- Blorg 18:48, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The image you uploaded is much clearer, so thanks! As a minor point, since you created the image yourself would you consider releasing it under a Creative Commons license (such as {{cc-by-sa-2.0}} or {{cc-by-2.0}} instead of the GFDL? These allow you to retain your rights in a similar way to the GFDL, but don't require people seeking to use your images to include a full copy of the rather hefty licence text with every instance. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Flynordic logo.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Flynordic logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 10:23, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Margaret Hassan[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Margaret Hassan. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Margaret Hassan. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
