On User:Ott, said:Not to create personal essays or original research. Wikipedia surveys existing human knowledge; it is not a place to publish new work. Do not write articles that present your own original theories, opinions, or insights.

Well, OK. My ZZZ Wiki is not intended to be encyclopedia, but an environment where aricles can be more than just plain facts. :-)

End and Beginning[edit]

Wikipedia is not a dictionary - just listing definitions of words isn't an article here. (There is Wiktionary for that!) Both "end" and "beginning" are interesting concepts that could make good articles - kind of a surprise we don't have them - but not in their current form. Besides, are those your definitions or did you copy them from dictionaries? - DavidWBrooks 03:39, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I suspect that Creators used Steganography in World languages to code the origin of quantum randomness.

That's an interesting suspicion, but please don't insert it into articles unless it's topic to which this directly relates - and please don't insert it as your personal rumination. Wikipedia isn't a place for essays, especulation or philosophical debate, remember - the Web is full of other places for that. This is for factual encyclopediac articles. - DavidWBrooks 19:15, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Traceroute[edit]

Wikipedia is not a place for source code listings. Someone (not I, though I agree) has submitted Traceroute program for deletion. Therefore I reverted the changes you made to the traceroute article pointing to it. (And if that "article" was to stay around we'd need to come up with a better way of referencing it.). Nevertheless, I think that the traceroute article is rather weak, if you'd care to make some thoughtful contributions to it. Kbh3rd 23:43, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Beginning[edit]

Please don't use this site as some sort of place to espouse personal philosophy. This is supposed to be a general subject encyclopedia. If this continues, I'll have no choice but to list you on the "requests for comments" page. Thanks. I'm sure you'll do the right thing. - Lucky 6.9 21:57, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)

A research begins as science, develops and ends as philosophy.
User:Ott

Hello, Ott. I can sympathise with your aims, but you need to understand the purpose of this encyclopedia if you are going to contribute usefully. I deleted your article on Self-created first time round because it contained no information; it was just a request for an article. It is not much more now, but hopefully you can do some research of your own to flesh it out and turn it into a useful article. A better title would be Self-created god, since that is the concept you refer to; "self-created" in English is an adjective, and adjectives are not normally admissible as article titles. Deb 16:24, 27 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I agree with that.

Anti Big Bang[edit]

I was looking at an edit you made a month ago on the First cause page where you basically caveat out the Big Bang as a paradigmatically accepted theory from science. This is not appropriate. First of all, the Big Bang is not a religion, despite what the detractors may feel. It is part of science. To have a beef with the Big Bang is to have a beef with the scientific process.

I have removed your entries in this regard and hope you understand why. Please respond to my talkpage if you have any questions. Joshuaschroeder 02:06, 18 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Well, I am not 'anti-big-bang' person but still I feel that this theory does not fully explain the First cause. Also I would like to know what happened during Planck time(10-43s) after Big Bang. O.K. 18:58, 18 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Generally speaking, scientists do not have an answer for any time before the Planck time since physics breaks down before this. This theory isn't designed to explain it. Joshuaschroeder 23:28, 19 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Technical communicator vocation?[edit]

I noticed your name on Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Technical Communicators—I'm curious what your vocation is and/or how you would define "technical communicator." I would love to have a full-time job editing sites like Wikipedia; do you know of any avenues that would make this a possibility for me? I'm watching this page, so you can reply here. --J. New Wikiproject[edit]

Hi Ott,

According to your userpage you are an Orienteer.. Please note that we now have WikiProject Orienteering. It would be great if you could join this new Wikiproject and help it expand.

Thanks, Anonymous101 (talk) 05:42, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to join WikiProject TRANSWIKI and join the sub language project of your choice. The aim is to draw up a full directory of missing articles from other wikipedias by language and build a team of translators to work at bridging the gaps in knowledge between other wikipedias. License tagging for File:Greding Bayern.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Greding Bayern.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:06, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Neti.ee requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Eeekster (talk) 08:23, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

greeting[edit]

greeting
first of all, Hi, my name is José. I wrote you because I was looking for userboxes and I found your profile, you like synthesizers as me, and you are a former student of Tallinn Tech, I'm very interested on that school besides I'm a newbie beginner in Estonian language. Nice to meet you. Regards from Mexico. José Galindo (talk) 04:56, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
