Will Adamsan please contact me at mbalter@compuserve.com so that I can send him a copy of the book he does not seem to think exists? The Goddess and the Bull has been available in bookstores in the United States since before Christmas, as well as available online at Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, even though the "official" pub date is January 10, 2005 as publishers often postdate the actual appearance of a book to insure that it is available everywhere. The first three chapters of this book are about Mellaart's dig at Catalhoyuk and contain the ONLY detailed account of his life and work in print. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.120.106.245 (talkcontribs) 18:02, 6 January 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Fraud[edit]

due to this anything and everything in this article (and at least the one about Çatalhöyük) will have to be re-verified when the investigation into Mellaart's crimes is complete. until then, i suggest the authors put a warning in there, because "Mellaart "produced a mélange of published facts, unpublished data and imagination. It is virtually impossible to disentangle," Zangger said." --Snotty (talk) 14:11, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
