The Design Of Everyday Things[edit]

I think of the Design of Everyday Things as by far the best of these books by D. Norman -- paradigm shattering, rather than preaching to the converted. To make that perception encylopaedic, can we back it empirically somehow? See Also[edit]

Speaking from my own experience, I believe people who like Donald Norman's book Things That Make Us Smart are also likely to dig Douglas Hofstadter's and Daniel Dennett's books.

... which may be true, but it doesn't make it a See Also in the encylopaedia, any more than saying that folks who groove to Yes (See Also King Crimson) are also gonna dig Genesis (See Also Peter Gabriel).--Matt Whyndham (talk) 15:01, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Interlock[edit]

I expected to see Interlock_(engineering) linked here, because of how "The Design of Everyday Things" celebrates the useful "first say please" interlocks over the useless "are you sure" prompts that people rapidly learn to answer without thought, e.g., three-year-olds who learn how to click thru software license agreements before learning how to read.

The intro[edit]

The intro is currently a bit of a hodge-podge of CV information about Norman. Wikipedia intros should establish the article topic's notability and give a brief summary (WP:INTRO).
