I'm not going to comment on the deletion vote, since it's long over. But I was surprised to see so many deletion votes and to read even the arguments for keeping. We should absolutely not be motivated by concerns about 'offending honour' or any such thing, and the apparent level of news coverage on this individual is, in itself, sufficient justification for the article's existence. --Saforrest 03:37, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He violated nuisance laws. Invisible Government Power behind the arrest[edit]

Well informed Japanese academics believe that the arrest was instructed by Government in an attempt to destroy Uekusa's credibility, because he was a sharp critic of Government fiscal and monetary policies. He was arrested by supposedly Kanagawa Prefecture Police in Tokyo, which is outside of Kanagawa Prefecture Police's boundary. This could happen only when and if special police (Koh-an) was involved.

British pounds[edit]

I'm wondering why the amount of Yen in also converted into british pounds, generally it uses American dollar,s and if it's because the main currecies for English wikipedia are US and pounds why isn't Canadian included? Should this be removed?

It is Wikipedia policy to delete libelous material when it has been identified. It doesn't matter if there is a citation or not for the libel You should respect the Wiki rule. First of all, please stop using multiple accounts, Ejoe2. You should respect the WP:SOCK policy. I have opened the sockpuppet investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sanyet.
Writing Uekusa's being nicknamed Mirror Man is not libelous at all. WP:LIBEL states that “the goal of Wikipedia is to create an encyclopedic information source adhering to a neutral point of view, with all information being referenced through the citation of reliable published sources, so as to maintain a standard of verifiability.” The information you repeatedly removed is already supported with reliable sources such as Anil Aggrawal's Forensic and Medico-legal Aspects of Sexual Crimes and Unusual Sexual Practices and Mark D. West's Secrets, Sex, and Spectacle: The Rules of Scandal in Japan and the United States. Oh, that's too clear for us if you read his own article in which the person Uekusa stated that Wikipedia contains various false contents(URL: http://uekusak.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2010/11/post-5ec3.html). And I edited its page and will reedit it until there is no more libels against the person from Wikipedia. You have to notice that who continues the war is not me but the multiple account user. @Ejoe2: I cannot read Japanese but that's a self-published source. The subject does not get to decide what is actually false. You removed, "His trial opened at the Tokyo District Court on March 23, 2005, and the Chief Justice fined him 500,000 yen and confiscated his hand mirror." Well, I can read Japanese, and that blog post is talking about the Japanese Wikipedia article, not this one. And the post is three and a half years old.
