Removed from article after it was tagged with a fact tag for over a month: "Two of Colorado's largest newspapers refuted the attack, suggesting the magazine was wildly off-base." Gamaliel 18:41, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No citation: Another major Colorado daily, the Colorado Springs Gazette, also weighed in against the article on April 20th, 2006, saying "Does anybody even read Time magazine anymore?" and that the article was "soft, subjective, snide, impressionistic slop - further proof of the low to which this once-serious publication has sunk." No citation: "Senator Allard continued ties with Dr. James Dobson and the Focus on the Family organization resurfaced in 2006 with Dobson's coordinated support of the senator's sponsored Marriage Protection Amendment banning same-sex marriages."

Rander, I agree that this text could use some fixing up, but I think you took too drastic an approach. I restored the text you deleted, but will tag with (citation needed) and encourage somebody to summarize the retorts of editorial boards, as the level of detail does seem a bit excessive. -Pete 21:20, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Term limits[edit]

The current version of the page begins with "Alan Wayne Allard (born December 2, 1943) is an American veterinarian who represented Colorado in the House and Senate before honoring a Term Limits promise. A member of the Republican Party, he served as a United States Senator and United States Representative from Colorado, as well as a member of the Colorado Senate." This repeats the same information and gives undue weight to the idea of term limits, important though it may have been to Sen. Allard and others such as James Lankford's Senate predecessor, whatsisname. I'm going to edit to correct these things. Airbornemihir (talk) 11:28, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
