Method Acting[edit]

Can someone enlighten me as to how Method Acting deals with post 9/11 issues?

Some lines ("It's a shocking bit of footage viewed from a shitty TV screen") have been interpreted as representing the attack itself, while others have been interpreted as reflecting the hopelessness and despair that came with the attacks ("We need some reception, a higher message, just tell us what to fear"). Still others seem to reflect Oberst's final acceptance of the situation ("To shed this skin, be born again, it starts with an ending"). Oberst seems to realize that the best course of action is to simply learn to love more openly and deeply ("We have a problem with no solution but to love and to be loved"), and just learn to live with this tragedy ("And the story goes, it goes on and on..."). However, this is simply one interpretation, and while interesting, the 9/11 point probably doesn't merit inclusion in the article until it is backed up by a source or two.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.195.82.195 (talk • contribs) 06:29, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Lifted brighteyes.jpg[edit]

Image:Lifted brighteyes.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.


I often think it's about Christianity. Have a think about it.

Hidden Track or Covered-Up Lie?[edit]

Could someone please back up the hidden track blurb at the end of the tracklist? It's pretty foolish to put something like that there. Not Emotive hardcore.[edit]

Contrary to everybody's belief that emo is "emotional" music. it's not. nothing you think is emo, is actually emo. unless you actually know what you're talking about that is. and if you do know what your talking about, help set things right. if you come a cross some section of the internets that people are arguing about what emo is, back your brothers up. although Mr. Oberst is definitely very emotional at times, while simultaneously being one of the smartest people alive, his closest musical contribution to "emo" would actually be Desaparecidos. not any of his work in bright eyes.
