Genetics[edit]

A recent autosomal study has shown that among other European populations, Latvians are genetically related to Lithuanians, followed distantly by Estonians.[1]

I didn't find such claim from source. Where exactly it is stated? --Minnekon (talk) 15:20, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Took it out. --Minnekon (talk) 04:25, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Added M558/CTS1211 and L1025 haplogroups in text, because they are more regional to the area. There are no information about which subbranch of M558 in Latvian is predominant(if there is such predominance at all), where almost all of R1a is of M558(over 90% of R1a), with M458 following up as second.
As for N haplogroups, L550 in locals with N is 70%(in Lithuanians it goes over 90%). Latvians also share 25% CTS10082?, which has main center located near Finnish bay and that haplogroup is more common in Estonia and Finland. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.147.206.144 (talk) 14:50, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
