I don't agree that Mount Mansfield should be a "region" of Vermont. "Region" has an actual meaning beyond "belonging to Vermont." It is identifiable with a large area - Champlain Valley, Northeast Kingdom, etc.

Why was Mansfield removed from Category:Geography. This does not make sense to me. Student7 11:11, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you about 'Regions'. As for 'Geography', that seems unnecessary since 'Mountains' is a subcat of 'Georgraphy'.

Photos[edit]

Some nice photos for this article. Are there enough that someone can delete "Westward view...." It is a tiny photo. The viewer can see a horizontal line and the sun or something. It could be the view from anyplace. It is too dark to really make it out well.Student7 01:43, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At full size it's kind of a nice picture. The horizontal line is Lake Champlain, with the silhouettes of the Adirondacks beyond. I just made it a little larger, but it still seems dark. Maybe someone could make a lighter version?

Due to the accuracy of newer GPS measuring devices, the National Geodetic Survey (NOAA) has measured the height of Mount Mansfield as 1339.69 meters or 4395.3 feet. See the source on the page: NGS/NOAA It is odd that the height source does not back up the height as it is shown on the page. Can we please change the height to the updated figure? --Vtnate (talk) 00:41, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why not be bold and do so? Just make sure you include the source. Cheers. DonIago (talk) 14:40, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
