HMS Caesar

Four ships of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Caesar, after the Roman general and dictator Julius Caesar.

  • HMS Cesar - mercantile brig launched in 1802 that the French Navy purchased at Bordeaux in 1803. The Royal Navy captured her in July 1806 and took her into service, but she was wrecked in early 1807.
  • Italian battleship Giulio Cesare, an Italian Navy battleship named after the same person.
