Winnipeg photo[edit]

The addition of the picture of Winnipeg raises issue, since the next two metropolitan areas have very similar populations, yet they are not pictured. Would it be better add the pictures of Quebec City and Hamilton or remove Winnipeg for consistency? Because choosing the top 7 is a strange choice if there are no other justifications. There is lots of extra space there anyways, so I would be more in favor of adding the pictures of the other two cities. Zacharycmango (talk) 00:52, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

These new images are pushing the actual content too far down the page. Let's stick to 1,000,000+ metro areas. BLAIXX 22:06, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The pictures themselves, with the city names, are actual content in that people reading the article might only want to see the top few metro areas anyways. Upgrading the captions to include the populations might be good for that too. And, the pictures show up on the right of the table, so I do not see how the pictures are pushed down, unless it is different for different devices? Everyone has different devices and on desktop computers everyone has different view settings. The more the photos the further down they push down the table on some of these. I support the less is more approach. Keeping at the top six, with such a large gap between six and seven, minimizes the problems for more readers on more devices. Zacharycmango, I'd suggest that you try browsing Wikipedia on your phone or tablet sometime. You'll find that it's a very different experience than looking at it on your computer, and an experience that can be compromised by the inclusion of too many photos in the article. List of census agglomerations in Canada[edit]

I started a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Canadian Wikipedians' notice board#List of census agglomerations in Canada regarding this article and List of census agglomerations in Canada, somewhat a continuation of this decade-old discussion. As this page has quite a few watchers, I'm linking it here as well. eviolite (talk) 21:29, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 13 January 2022[edit]

The 2021 population estimates were published today, on January 13th, 2022 70.53.244.124 (talk) 22:10, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The official 2021 census numbers are due February 9, 2022. Unless someone really wants to update numbers now, I think we can wait. BLAIXX 00:30, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not done for now: Let's wait a couple weeks. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 12:34, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
