Basically a not stub-worthy advertisment for two radio stations. -- Solitude 14:43, 15 Jul 2004 (UTC)

  • "it is wrote in swedish, and english!!" Delete. Exploding Boy 01:39, Jul 16, 2004 (UTC)
  • "it is wrote in dutch!!" Delete — does the original contributor have any inkling of what would happen if every radio station had its own Wikipedia entry? --Ardonik 04:14, Jul 16, 2004 (UTC)
    • No, what terrible things would happen if every radio station had a Wikipedia entry? Wikipedia isn't paper, and I don't think it would matter much either way... David Remahl 10:04, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
      • I don't know how many radio stations there are out there, but tens of thousands is a conservative estimate.
        1. We would get article-naming conflicts with every radio station that shared the same band.
        2. Every "independent" student-run high school and college radio station would see its own article, independent of their schools.
        3. Anyone with a big enough antenna would receive what was essentially their own article, regardless of their station's reach.
        4. Each of Clear Channel's unimaginative clones would get its own adspace here.
        5. As our criterion transformed from "which radio stations have enough notoriety to add" to "which radio stations should we remove from here," the number of Wikipedia-related migraines would increase.  :-/
I'm not opposed to radio station articles (see KROQ, for instance), but they should only be added if noteworthy (and this is the place to debate that concept.) --Ardonik 18:40, Jul 16, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Seems like they only have Internet "broadcasts" too. David Remahl 10:04, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Abstain: I'm about ready to ask on metawiki how one opens up a policy debate on such issues as this. There are some completionists who have been listing every single US radio station, no matter how small or transient. The camel has its nose in the tent. I'd rather it get the nose out before the humps show up and that notability be a requirement. Another policy debate needs to take place (as, apparently, there hasn't been one) on the schools. Geogre 00:49, 17 Jul 2004 (UTC) (Might regret saying this.)
  • As someone who works in the industry, I can honestly say that including every mom-and-pop radio station in the world would be an insane waste of time and resources. It could also open up the door for blatant free advertising. To be included, the station would have to be notable beyond their local area, and that goes for major-market stations. KROQ is an excellent example of a notable station. So are KDKA and WABC. Ditto KFI despite its being owned by Clear Channel. Add to that the up-and-coming low-power AM and FM stations that will be taking to the air soon, not to mention non-notable college stations, and we have a recipe for disaster. The group I work for has six local stations and none of them, IMO, warrant an encyclopedia article. Delete. - Lucky 6.9 00:59, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: no evidence of notability. Wile E. Heresiarch 08:48, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep: I rewrote it (still stubby), Radioseven has been one of Swedens largest Internet radio stations for the last five years, I think it's worth an article. Also I don't think a comment like "they only have Internet broadcasts" is negative in any way, especially not if the comment is put on an Internet only encyclopedia. bbx 05:48, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Non-notable. If it's such a big deal, why isn't there an sv:RadioSeven article yet? - DropDeadGorgias (talk) 21:13, Jul 19, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete internet radio station, anybody can set one up, and they do. If they can convince the Swedish 'pedia that they're worthy, then we can talk. -- Cyrius| 02:22, 20 Jul 2004 (UTC)
