I've expanded the article using this biography in Spanish which seems to be the most detailed source available on the web. However, I have only limited reading skills in Spanish. Anyone with better knowledge of the language should be able to expand our article. Alarm 18:45, 18 Oct 2004 (UTC)

WikiProject Military history/Assessment/Tag & Assess 2008[edit]

Removed Military History tag as subject of the article in not notable due to his military service but rather political service. --dashiellx (talk) 17:56, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Should it really say transition to democracy?[edit]

Democracy exists in many forms and is a widely debated subject, and it feels like it comes off as a tad colonialist to say they found democracy just because they moved to a system similar to western ones. Especially when you consider the world bank's involvement in African politics throughout history. Very little of what they do involves public input. Perhaps transition to parliamentarism is a bit more impartial. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.227.83.117 (talk) 13:37, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
