Sigujana[edit]

I miss Sigujana in the list. Shaka's half-brother who was put on the throne by his father and deposed and killed by the angry Shaka.--Gerard von Hebel 21:47, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sigujana

Sigujana is not recognised in the Zulu Kings list as he was never the rightful heir to the throne. The older brother Shaka was alive and therefore Sigujana could not have been a legitimate Zulu King - KJK —Preceding unsigned comment added by [[ 07:39, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Improvement[edit]

I found this article and saw that it claimed Ndaba kaMageba to be the son of some Nkosinkulu. This is clearly wrong, as the "ka-" prefix in the name means "(child) of". I don't know who first made this list, but it was a confused mess, with some names linking to irrelevant articles.

Using Wikipedia itself as a source, I fixed the geneology and linked to the full binominal names, fixing a lot of red links. This is one example of the many advantages in using the full binominal names of Zulu royalty, similar to the obvious advantage of using other people's surnames. I am aware that using Wikipedia as a primary source is against policy, but the geneology deduced from the various Zulu kings' articles is much more logical that what was in this article.

I have a question: did Mkabayi kaJama ever rule in any capacity? If not, then she should be removed from the list.

Revealing the truth of Zulu Kings[edit]

Some of these other kings are not the the original Zulu sons nor the bloodline of Zulu this must be fixed. Starting from Mpande is not a son of Senzangakhona not even bloodline of Zulu kingdom. Mpande son of Mbopha the house-hold body-guard who helped Mhlangana to assassinate Shaka Mpande deserted Dingane cross Thukela found Boers and Xhosa tribe. Cetshwayo, Mandlakazi and chief Zibebu gathered together Mpande joined Boers and these Xhosa tribe brought them to Zulu kingdom ousted Dingane in 1840 after Dingane's escape and killed by some unknown man in Swaziland. Mpande son of Mbopha became the Chief of Zulu nation after his death at age 84. Boers took their friend a Xhosa warrior which they well know each other. Cetshwayo the Xhosa warrior became the Zulu Chief in 1872. The Zulu kingdom was in hands of Boers ruled by Xhosa warrior Cetshwayo. The Boers took control of the Zulu throne and kingdom in present of Cetshwayo's reigns. After Cethswayo's death at aged 50 in 1884 the throne stood empty for four years when Boers realised the empty throne they appointed Dinuzulu. In 1887 Dinuzulu died. In 1907 after his death the throne stood empty for seven to ten years then Boers appointed Solomon in 1916. After Solomon's death in 1933 the throne stood empty for such long in 1948 Boers Cyprian known as Bhekuzulu and Gatsha Buthelezi was nominated Chief Executive town of Nongoma. Cyprian died in 1968 and Boers appointed Israel Mcwayizeni as Regent until 1971. Then Boers appointed Goodwill Zwelithin as Paramount Chief of Zulu nation. These guys are not Zulu sons. The importance that I should not leave behind is that Boers, Cetshwayo, and Zibebu with their Mandlakazi the Xhosa tribe also formed their own clan named Usuthu.

Dubious accuracy[edit]

The list of kings given here seems to be very dubious or at the very least widely disputed. There seems to be agreement on Phunga, Mageba, and the subsequent rulers, but before this the only things sources seem to agree on is that there was a king named "Zulu". Things like the Pre-Zulu line, Zulu II, Gumede, ... are not generally accepted and shuldn't be presented as a fact here. Fram (talk) 08:09, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
