Dear Mahay,

Some concentrated attention to Muhammad's wives is appreciated, particularily if new material is added. However, I must question the template (it's wives, not wifes) and the effect it has on the layout of the articles. The Aisha article, for instance, ended up looking just awful, all crowded and jumbled.

How about redoing the template so that it's wider and squarer? You could do that by putting two or three wives in each line, possibly. Zora 20:30, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I'm guessing on the wider and squarer working. I'm really NOT good on turning HTML code into good graphic design. But the long thin template extends through several sections and really mangles the rules between the sections.

You also need some kind of white border around the template, because right now the words just come right up to it, making it look all ugly and squished. I really don't know how to do that -- I'm just a scripter, letting Dreamweaver do things for me. Maybe put up a notice in the Village Pump, asking for design help? Zora 22:17, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Oh, that IS better[edit]

You did it! Greatly improved. I was wrong. The long thin template works now. This may prompt other people to work on the articles and expand them. Zora 22:20, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Template:WivesMuhammad[edit]

I was hoping, since you are the lone creator of this template, if you'd have any objections, or input about reorganizing it so that they wives are listed in chronological order and maybe help me procure the approximate dates of marriage. Thanks gren 11:27, 16 Mar 2005 (UTC)
