well, it's always good to have this kind of knowledge at our fingertips.

The article contains numerous unsupported, partisan statements. For example, what does it mean that the economic growth rate was "unsustainable"? That it would have continued to decline if history had turned out differently? How does one know? Is this an informed prediction of alternate future historical outcomes? Is it an analytic statement about specific structural issues? Which ones? Is it just a personal opinion of the cited source?
