edit history[edit]

When I found this article, there was a cleanup template at the top and a bunch of random content related to the Spreckels Organ that appeared to have been pasted in haphazardly. I was not sure if there was some copyvio but I dutifully edited whet I could and made a new article on the Spreckels Organ. It's still not perfect, but that's the beauty of wikipedia. Expansion[edit]

I am putting a request for expansion in. Lots of Skinner organs, no list of them anywhere on the internet. I want to see names (Skinner Opus 123 -- Name of church/venue -- location of venue(date).

(Next contributor) I would like to add Opus 224, 1915 to that list. It's located in it's original installation, Walla Walla Presbyterian Church, Walla Walla, WA 99362 Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).See article by Jonathan Ambrosino, originally published in July/August 2005 issue of Choir & Organ. Ernest M. Skinner & Company[edit]

Because of the complexity of this article, its apparent popularity (and its lack of illustrations) I suggest that the Ernest M. Skinner & Company be sectioned off into an article of its own. Perhaps even the Methuen Organ Company having an even smaller article. EraserGirl (talk) 15:33, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Enormous bias[edit]

This entire article seems to be biased and seems to intend to be persuading the reader to realize how important Skinner and his accomplishments are. This creates, quite frankly, the most neutrality issues I have ever seen. That is why I have added so many templates. --Mr. Guye (talk) 22:32, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've made 2 attempts to 'clean up" this page from information widly known about Ernest Skinner, but each time I start, someone comes on and hacks up what I'm trying to do. Sorry, I'm a serious Skinnerphile," but I don't have the time to write a proper entry about him, with citations and all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.95.63.122 (talk) 04:15, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Title pic is not EM Skinner[edit]

The pic you have posted at the head of this article is not EM Skinner! It is his good friend Palmer Christian of the University of Michigan. There are many pics of Mr. Skinner on the web. The pic you have posted here has caused a lot of confusion. I would urge you to change it to an authentic pic of EM Skinner. Wrandall1963 (talk) 00:51, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
