Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

This is NOT the old Yancey County Jail. I was born and raised here and this is not in our county at all. It is downstate somewhere but IT IS NOT IN YANCEY COUNTY!!!!!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.139.15.156 (talk) 11:16, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Old Jail Photos[edit]

Someone is posting a photo of an old jail that I believe is the old Lincoln County jail and mis-representing it as the old Yancey County Jail. It has been removed at least twice then re-posted. Would whoever is posting it please check their facts. Yancey County does not have an old jail as such. We have the old Courthouse which contains the old jail. It is now the location of the Burnsville Police Dept. and some other town/county offices and is a beautiful white building on the square. Oldgal53 (talk) 11:44, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Courthouse Image Posted[edit]

Posted image of Yancey County Courthouse and removed request from header on this date. Foliage in front of courthouse is rather full, obscuring some of its details; will update with another image in the fall. Shapwolf (talk) 15:05, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
