My name is Steve Swift (The "J" stands for "John" and comes in handy when some other Steve Swift has already grabbed my user name!)

I was born in 1950, gained a degree in Physics at Birmingham University (England) in 1971 and went on to spend my entire working life in the IT industry.

Louise (my wife), our dogs, and I live in Medstead, near Alton in Hampshire, England.

I work for IBM as a webmaster on internal projects. This is handy, as one of my hobbies is playing with simple websites; it is nice to be paid for your hobby! If you are desperate to see some of my sites, then try this but please note that I spend very little effort on my public sites.
