I was on Judge Mathis!

This is not a forum. Comments like this belong in a disscussion group. On another note I added Judge Mathis to the Judical Shows category. The page does need a bit more editing and expanding though.ShadowWriter 05:39, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Judgemathis.JPG[edit]

Image:Judgemathis.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:04, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fluff[edit]

Please stop readding portions that have no encyclopedic bearing--Harmony944 (talk) 16:36, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. The text that is being restored reads like ad-copy from the Judge Mathis website.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:09, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I looked into the IP user who initially reverted me, and a lot of their contributions seem to be curating this and Judge Judy's page, so it seems as if they were saying I couldn't "mess" with "their" precious work so heavily without their permission, something I didn't need.--Harmony944 (talk) 17:23, 15 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please assume good faith. AlexTheWhovian and others are trying to communicate with you that your belligerence and edit warring behavior is not constructive on Wikipedia. If it's not something that is blatantly defamatory or vandalism, it should be discussed. It's not about precious work, it's about constructive behavior. 2605:A000:4641:6000:E54D:96B3:56AF:D13A (talk) 02:08, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Harmony944, edit warring is edit warring even if you're right. BTW you were right, I think. Y'all, when Ponyo talks you should listen. I do, and I am a better editor for it. IP editor, please--that content you keep adding, it's not encyclopedic. Drmies (talk) 02:20, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Drmies, I apologize and respect your opinion. My problem here is the editor, "Harmony" of all things, is instigating a whole host of people at this point and doesn't seem to be here for any constructive reason. He just returned from a block and is bickering with the admin and others. 2605:A000:4641:6000:E54D:96B3:56AF:D13A (talk) 02:50, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Stop telling people to assume good faith while deliberately lying in an attack on my character. To say I'm here for no constructive reason just because I removed your content is appalling--Harmony944 (talk) 15:54, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Drmies, I notice you made a lot of edits. I was hoping you would be sort of a mentor to me here at Wikipedia. It be awesome if we could have a private page where you could show me the ropes and teach me how to make my material more encyclopedic. The sheer reason you are willing to discuss things and be reasonable unlike Harmony is welcome.2605:A000:4641:6000:E54D:96B3:56AF:D13A (talk) 03:29, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

General wording[edit]

Can something please be done about the way this page is written? It sounds more like an adoring fan page than anything else and I don't know where to begin in turning it into an article that meets the standards of this site. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.5.66.28 (talk) 00:59, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Racism[edit]

I watched episode s24 e68. When the judge rendered his verdict he solely went into why he couldn't find against her because of her being black. There was video surveillance that caught the defendants child on camera. Is it OK for judges/tv celebrities to use racism in decision making. And then praised for it. This is not the first time I've come across mathis being racist. I think this is an issue that needs to be addressed. 2601:205:C000:2420:39ED:A9FF:69FA:4C64 (talk) 19:42, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
