2003 comment on article name[edit]

What is a New Yorkian? I thought people from New York were New Yorkers. Rmhermen (a Michigander)

They are. Dictionaries good. But this probably can't be fixed. There seems to be a lot of trouble here regarding the adjectival form for place-name descriptors. Were this to be moved to "List of New Yorkers" it would be re-moved to "List of People from New York" and from there to "List of People from New York State" and from there to "List of People from New York, United States" to "List of Usian New Yorkish People in America. -- Someone else 22:21 30 May 2003 (UTC)

Was this move okay? Even if it gets moved elsewhere, it certainly shouldn't stay at "New Yorkian", no? john 22:28 30 May 2003 (UTC)
