Is this term much used? Peter O. (Talk) 04:47, Nov 30, 2004 (UTC)

• Comment: I am unfamiliar with the term. Then again, I'm not from the UK. —RaD Man (talk) 06:25, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• Merge with Winchester College and delete. --Tony Sidaway Talk 07:17, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• Delete: Good catch, Peter O. Campus slang. When the article says it's used by "students," we don't know if that's all students or a single dorm room. Worthless vanity of a private joke. Geogre 16:05, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• Delete unless shown to be not someone's inside joke - Cdc 23:14, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)
• Comment UrbanDictionary says that it is now more widely used. Maybe Transwiki? George\talk 03:17, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
• Possibly. A quick google suggests that, apart from references in open dictionaries (which attract self-promotion), Goive appears as a surname and in isolated instances which look to me like mistyping of the word "give", where the writer's finger hits the o key as it reaches for the i. I'm not finding any forums where it is bandied about as if it were a popular slang word in the style of "froup" on Usenet.--Tony Sidaway Talk 11:38, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
• delete no matter how many students use the word, "Goive"! the entire article vanishes through the Bajoran wormhole Pedant 01:47, 2004 Dec 5 (UTC)
