ACTION PACKS[edit]

Um, why? They aren't third party products (there are many TPP scenario packs, but that's not what these are). I suppose they should get a short discussion in/after the 'modules' section - they aren't separate 'versions' like SASL or DASL, and they don't introduce anything beyond more scenarios and boards. Of course, that may be why they aren't discussed at the moment, they don't add much of note to the system. --Rindis 19:08, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Action Packs contain new rules insets, and new boards, which makes them an integral part of the overall system, like the other expansions Deluxe ASL and Historical ASL. They are also published by MMP making them "official". As an encyclopedia article, everything "official" published for ASL should be listed. As for concerns about "advertising", almost everything by MMP is out of print, you couldn't buy it from them if you wanted too, other than about 10 items or so. Such is the poor state of the board gaming industry, there is just no demand, they print off a run of a 1000 or so and end it, and the used market keeps up with the demand over time. 71.191.40.106 (talk) 04:52, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

About the Dice[edit]

The article incorrectly refers to the distribution of results from the simultaneous throwing of two dice as a "bell curve." The term bell curve refers to the Normal Distribution (with a capital N). The distribution of possible results is more accurately described as a step function that illustrates the 36 possible results of a throw. There is only one way to make a 2, so above the 2 on the number line we place a mark at the 2 level. There are six ways to throw a seven, so above the seven on the number line we mark a 6. And so forth. This is not the Normal Distribution. The study of dice throw results such as these comes under the heading of combinations and permutations in simple probability. Modules needing rules from other modules[edit]

While the module dependency chart does say that some modules need mapboards that are not included, it does not mention cases where a module includes one or more scenarios that require rules that are neither in the core ASL rulebook nor in any rules included in the module or any listed predecessor modules. For example, the "For King and Country" scenarios dealing with Maleme Airfield in Crete mention that dust rules are in effect. -- That Don Guy (talk) 16:56, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

List of ASL Scenarios[edit]

Great article on ASL, I am new to editing/creating articles on Wikipedia. I am in the process of making a list of the ASL Scenarios published by Multi-Man Publishing and putting it on Wikipedia. I understand that it takes some time to get your first article approved, but once (or if) that happens, how would I create a link on this main ASL article that went to the list I created?
