Children[edit]

Are his kids still in the positions cited, or have they had to step down as well? --Mister Tattle 00:35, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)

As cited, my eldest brother Jeff is formerly of Marsh Mac, and yes, my brother Evan is still with ACE. I prefer to remain nameless, but am MRG's only daughter.

AIG New Status[edit]

I have updated the intro text to reflect that AIG is no longer the largest insurance co. in the world and left it non-specific (since the situation is fluid) by commenting in the past tense. Certainly further updates will be needed. Dissento (talk) 13:32, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

I have edited out an anti-semetic remark in the beginning paragragh. Dissento (talk) 04:31, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem[edit]

This article has been reverted by a bot to this version as part of a large-scale clean-up project of multiple article copyright infringement. (See the investigation subpage) This has been done to remove User:Accotink2's contributions as they have a history of extensive copyright violation and so it is assumed that all of their major contributions are copyright violations. Earlier text must not be restored, unless it can be verified to be free of infringement. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions must be deleted. Contributors may use sources as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. Charitable contributions[edit]

This is a man with an incredible record of charitable contributions (e.g. two buildings at New York Hospital). Why is none of this mentioned in his Wikipedia entry? 68.160.209.109 (talk) 18:33, 15 July 2010 (UTC)a New York City reader[reply]

Cite your sources. As far as I can see, Greenberg is a Greedy American Conman. --112.210.29.91 (talk) 02:31, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Losses on AIG stock[edit]

How much did Greenberg lose on his AIG stock holdings? Or did he sell a bunch when had to leave AIG??? If so, then getting kicked out was probably a blessing in disguise. Curious about this. Thanks in advance to anybody who knows. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Betathetapi545 (talkcontribs) 16:36, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In Britain, directors' shareholdings are available to the public. I don't know if this applies to America. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.26.6.255 (talk) 12:12, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Conspicuous absence[edit]

Quite odd that anyone would think to write an article about Greenberg that barely mentions the events of 2008. 73.71.251.64 (talk) 18:35, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quite odd indeed considering this site left out the many details why Greenberg was actually forced to resign as AIG CEO 2005 for accounting irregularities and fraud. He was brought up on these charges by former NYAG Spitzer where subsequently Greenberg made a plea bargain agreement (bribe) with DOJ dropping the felony charges against him by paying the DOJ $1.2 billion restitution for his get out of jail card. Greenberg’s DOJ agreement also forbids him to have any control or consulting with AIG management operations permanently. I suspect Greenberg’s $$$$$ influence with Wikipedia is why none of these facts have been published here. 174.247.208.171 (talk) 17:07, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
