Spanophone?

Is this really a word? Google finds all of three hits, and one of them is someone wondering if such a word exists. It's not in Merriam-Webster. Regardless, shouldn't this be in Wiktionary if it is a real word? --timc | Talk 02:13, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Merge into Hispanophone

Since Spanophone and Hispanophone are synonymous, and Hispanophone is both more logical (by analogy with Lusophone and Anglophone, etc.) and apparently far more common (judging by overwhelmingly more Google hits for the latter term -- 46 vs. 27,900 at the moment), I believe that this article's information should be merged into the existing (and currently less informative) article at Hispanophone.
