I wonder if this should be redirected to individualism? Michael Hardy 19:57, 5 Sep 2003 (UTC)

I've removed the redirect; individuality (the state of being) is not the same as individualism (the philosophical outlook)--Pariah (talk) 02:31, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

new additions[edit]

The new additions to the article are interesting and inventive; unfortunately they seem like original research and seem to be more about the concept of the individual or achievements of individuals, rather than individuality. Unless some sources and some relevance can be added, it seems that these changes will have to be removed. Maybe instead of that, the additions can be broken up into sections, such as "definitions of individuality," "roles of the individual," "threats to individuality," and so on--but sources will still be required.--Pariah (talk) 05:12, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since the new additions are unsourced and the article was a stub anyway, I have reinstated the redirect; this time to individual with some minor additions to that article to distinguish the concept of individuality from individualism. Hope this does not cause any major objections--Pariah (talk) 04:47, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
