Not important enough for the real page, I suspect: IMHO is also the name of a Common Lisp Web application development framework -- Internet Meta Humble Objects -- see, e.g. http://packages.qa.debian.org/c/cl-imho.html --FOo 00:57, 19 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Would it be POV to add (here or at IMO, I suppose) something along the lines of "IMO is used for the same purpose by people entirely incapable of irony or sarcasm"? "... too stupid for irony or sarcasm" is obviously right out. --Calieber 16:17, 27 Oct 2003 (UTC)

In case someone was looking it up, it stands for "In my honest Opinion"

Interwiki[edit]

The French interwiki should be removed, it's about a publishing house of the same name. 86.205.91.200 (talk) 21:09, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This probably should be an article?[edit]

This abbreviation is uses so much in on-line communications and has a life of it's own. Proposal for article:

IMHO is an abbreviation for in my humble opinion. This term is used in various on-line communications, such as e-mail messages, postings to newsgroups or BBSs. Often it appears in brackets like this: <IMHO>.

Using this term is a way of making sure that others understand that you are merely expressing your opinion on a debatable subject without passing judgement.
