The union between Ra and Horus was one in which Horus merged into Ra, i.e. people confused the two gods, and they were considered only as the one. I.e. it was an evolution of the religion in which the two were blurred together.

Harachte was not a marriage union between Ra and Horus, and was therefore not a gay marriage - although see Horus and his interaction with Set.
