Largest whatever[edit]

Okay, you various IPs and editors having hissy fits over which municipality is largest... I've checked with the infobox documentation, and the entity "Largest city" is a placeholder for the largest municipality of any type in the county; you can easily change the label to indicate what type of municipality it is. Rather than have 147 different fields (one for every possible permutation of "munipality type"), you can just change the label; easy peasy! I've set it to read "largest municipality", which will hopefully end this ridiculous edit war. MeegsC (talk) 17:42, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take a stab at reviewing this article. -- Dolotta (talk) 14:00, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I know it's a long article. I intend to take this to FAC, so I appreciate the first review. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 16:26, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In the Municipalities section, what are your thoughts on linking to an appropriate article for each municipality type like Borough (New Jersey) for example. -- Dolotta (talk) 12:37, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is already linked previously in the article. Due to the sorting in the table, every munitipality type would have to be linked, and I'm not a fan of overlinking. Make sure the article is accessible, but not too complex, or people could get off the page by accident (if they made it that far in the page (no offense to any readers out there who happened to read the article - thank you for reading about this county! ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:08, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Que the Homer Simpson doh slap. I forgot about the sorting feature. You are quite right. -- Dolotta (talk) 01:02, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Hurricanehink: I will throw this out for comments from anyone else for the next day or two and will look forward to promoting if all goes well. -- Dolotta (talk) 01:51, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

FA Comments[edit]

Northernmost humid subtropical climate?[edit]

Not even close for the east coast. The northernmost Cfa is found on Long Island. Heff01 (talk) 09:37, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Actually it depends on which climate classification system is used. Koeppen has the county as Cfa but it is not subtropical under the Trewartha defintion (even though Cape May Beach comes close.) Under Trewartha downtown Baltimore is the northernmost subtropical climate in North America except for California and southern coastal Curry County, Oregon. Heff01 (talk) 09:41, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Most if not all of the county is farther south than Baltimore, where an urban heat island makes a difference in downtown and on the Inner Harbor. Heff01 (talk) 09:52, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

North America's northernmost Cfa is Montauk, New York at the end of the South Fork of Long Island. Heff01 (talk) 06:43, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Simpler names for townships[edit]

Should these be applied to the municipalities section for townships? ThatOneJerseyDude (talk) 14:07, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
