Please stop adding advertising links to Pasadena articles. It wasn't appropriate when you were an IP user and it isn't appropriate now. -- Coneslayer 21:48, 2005 May 18 (UTC)

If it isn't appropriate then why are there so many advertising links on this site. ie: Pasadena.Com a huge commerical venture!
Advertising links are inappropriate; see Wikipedia:External links. If you see such links already here, then the right thing to do is to remove them. Adding your own advertising links is not the solution. -- Coneslayer 21:58, 2005 May 18 (UTC)

Okay I removed Pasadena.com and I will not add any commerical links. I didn't read all the stuff, first. I will try to only add appropriate useful links if I do add any in the future. Thanks for your time and effort.

LAST NOTE: I was only trying to promote the cities with useful links like I saw on the site already! Most of the links I checked are the same as I was adding. Quas-commerical (sp?) So, either the defintion needs to be redefined or tons of links need to be removed.

No harm done--since anyone can edit Wikipedia, it's not really safe to say "what I'm doing is right, because I've seen other things like it." It's possible that the other things you've seen are wrong or questionable, it's just that nobody has noticed. Welcome to Wikipedia. One final suggestion: When you edit a page, there's a one-line box near the submit button where you can (and should) explain the point of your edit. I'd encourage you to use this feature. It helps other people understand your intentions. -- Coneslayer 22:17, 2005 May 18 (UTC)
