Hi[edit]

Pleep, It's good that you are enjoying reading wikipedia and feel inspired to participate. I assume you are becoming acquainted with all the information in the Community Portal on style and what makes a "good" article; I'm still reading that myself to improve my edits. One interesting page is Wikipedia:Style and How-to Directory and another is Wikipedia:Make only links relevant to the context#Other considerations. Supposedly some aspects of that overall page are in dispute in that page's Discussion tab at the top of it (the talk page), however.

I've been told previously to only add brackets linking to another article once in an article so I went ahead and followed that method in proofreading the 4AD article format. Throwing Muses and Pixies are shown linked with brackets in the first paragraph of the 4AD article. Therefore we supposedly don't need to add brackets again to those bands or any already linked in the first paragraph. It supposedly makes it too "busy" when we add too many brackets, so that is why I only bracket a band or word once in an article. However, I can see that the page is unusual because it's mostly a list so far, so I may rethink this later if it seems like it's a problem. When I first arrived, I thought I was supposed to put a link every time a word or name appeared, and still sometimes catch myself doing it. Sometimes it's hard to know what to do.

I think someone who has the time to improve the article by writing a little more about the label's history could really help the article. There are some good sources for info on the label out there.

Thanks again, and good luck! -Emerman
