"The quantities length, time and mass are central to the physical sciences?"

Is it accurate to say "physical sciences" or "natural sciences"? As I understand it, the difference is that "natural sci." includes Biology, whereas "physical sci." does not. The quantities of length, time, and mass are definitely essential to biology. Are they central to biology? Biologists don't study any of those phenomena directly, but biologists can only collect data by using those phenomena.
