Is this an encyclopedia article? I'm confused.

Perhaps we need a page under Wikipedia, rather than clutter up the "article" namespace; say Wikipedia/Tools or Wikipedia/ToolTips, or ...

I see! Yes, would be good to move it. And then to add an article called Vim mapping (to which Vim mappings can be redirected :-) ). I would do this myself, except that I have not a clue what a Vim mapping is (or even if "Vim" should be capitalized); I could be the butt of your cruel joke, in fact...I mean, if "Vim mapping" happens to be total nonsense, I would be none the wiser.  :-) --LMS

"Vim mappings" are a very real and useful tool, working with vim as a text editor. I do not think this should be a wikipedia article. This kind of information can be useful to vim-using wikepedists... but should not be seen by casual wikipedia visitors, as it does not really belong in a wikipedia, my humble opinion. Maybe this should be moved to a "vim tip" in vim.org, and a final comment should be added in article vim pointing to this tip... this would be helpful for wikipedists and not a nuisance for visitors... 4lex 14:04 11 Jul 2003 (UTC)
