This text editorializes and is not encyclopedic:

When discussing alternative health practices versus conventional medicine you should always use the corresponding preferred terminology. In other words, the terms: healer, healing, therapy, methods should only be associated with alternative health practices. Whereas, the terms: treat and treatment should only be associated with allopaths, doctors, and physicians.

[Editorial Mode On]

I created Healer specifically to highlight the differences between a practitioner of alternative medicine versus a practitioner of conventional medicine. I did this with the intent of educating the public.

Hence, without the compare and contrast style of writing essays, which is taught in high school, half the point of this article on healing is missing.

If the objective is to communicate, then ...

the terms: healer, healing, therapy, methods should only be associated with alternative health practices;

While the terms: treat and treatment should only be associated with allopaths, doctors, and physicians.

  • But Wikipedia is not a place where we evangelize our points of view: points of view need to be attributed to those who hold them. You should look at Wikipedia:Neutral point of view to see how you can attribute views. If you simply insist that one viewpoint is right or that your definition of something is the only one that need be considered, other people will have to edit them. - VerbalHerbal

Well, it was just a basic execricse in compare and contrast essay composition style. Something that is done in the SATs for example. It had nothing to with evangelizing, just comparing and constrasting the differences. -- Mr-Natural-Health 06:05, 1 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Comparing and constrasting the difference _given your point of view_. This is an encyclopedia - we don't write essays here - we write articles that we hope everyone can agree with. If there's a dispute we describe the dispute rather than take sides. Please see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view.
