No, I'm against it ! There are much worse "holiday pics" from Madagascar, than this innocent graphic !

Correction to Madagascar's Ranking as Largest Country[edit]

Dear Editor,

I noticed a slight inaccuracy in the current description of Madagascar. While the statement mentions it as the "44th largest country in the world," the actual ranking is 46th.

Here's the corrected sentence:

Madagascar, officially the Republic of Madagascar, is an island country comprising the island of Madagascar and numerous smaller peripheral islands. Lying off the southeastern coast of Africa, it is the world's fourth largest island, the second-largest island country, and the 46th largest country in the world. [14]

I believe this edit ensures the information aligns with current geographical data.

The reference cited in the article supports the claim that it's the second largest island nation by area, but it doesn't support the other claims. The CIA World Factbook lists it at #49. So, yes, something needs to be cleaned up here. Mgnbar (talk) 22:19, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
