English Football[edit]
English football is arguably the best football to watch and in the last decade it has been voted to have the best football premier division in Europe and more widly the world.
English football is managed and run by the F.A which stands for the Football Association and consists of 4 leagues professionally and many other leagues who are semi-pro. The four professional leagues are the premiership, the championship, division one and division two.
The F.A
Football as we know it dates back to 1863, when the chief clubs and schools playing their own versions of the game met to form “The Football Association”.
From its members the F.A has the power to alter rules and enforce penalties to any professional misconduct, quite recently and example of this was the 8 month ban of Rio Ferdinand for missing a random drugs test. The headquarters of the F.A is based in Soho square in London.
The F.A is then furthermore governed by a world body called FIFA which stands for The Fédération Internationale de Football Association.
