Embassy of Canada in Ottawa??[edit]

"canada" is listed between Lebanon and Lithuania... Is it normal??? Circeus 17:04, Apr 3, 2005 (UTC)

It's actually some other wacko country I've never heard of, but why Canada is listed, I dunno. --Spinboy 18:57, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)
That's the full name of Libya. Fixed it. Radagast 04:16, Apr 23, 2005 (UTC)

Discussion at WP:FOR on formatting and content of "List of diplomatic missions" article[edit]

There is now a discussion at WP:FOR on the formatting and content of "List of diplomatic missions" articles. As this discussion ostensibly could affect this article, editors are encouraged to provide their opinions on the WP:FOR at this link - Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_International_relations#Formatting_of_diplomatic_missions_lists - please do not discuss on this article talk page as valid points for consideration may very well not be seen by editors at large. Thank you, --Russavia Dialogue Stalk me 01:47, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As this article was used as a base for inspiration of developing Diplomatic missions in Russia, if these formats are to be kept, instead of reverting back to List of diplomatic missions in India style, I urge all editors on this article to weigh in with their opinions. --Russavia Dialogue Stalk me 04:26, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why are so many links insecure?[edit]

MANY years ago I noticed some wiki-bot(sic) that seemed to be a tool Wikipedia was using to sanitize the pervasive use of INSECURE, privacy leaking, non-TLS links on Wikipedia. Seriously, what gives? Why do wiki pages such as this one, bascically almost trick unsupecting users into clicking these links? Isn't their wiki policy around this?

There is no technical reason and this is extremely unethical. Fellow library users, wifi-hotspot fans, litterally multiple tech companies(and we know they log EVERYTHING) and whomever happens to be curious (i.e. listening in where the embassy site is housed(co-located) all get free open text viewing of this access of the embassy site. I did a quick perusal of policy, guidelines etc., but I'm at a loss and kinda shocked. I'm almost positive this is an already solved problem (automation fixes this easily), so why (and WHERE) are policy regarding this issue? 198.91.228.76 (talk) 00:20, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
