Copyvio

Hi, now that you mention it, it looks typical of ACK. However, I got it off the German WP (here) and if there are no copyvio issues on German, there ought not to be on en:. Of course, vice-versa holds. Please do as you think fit, but be consistant -- you seem to be new; are you sure you want to handle this? Categories in Userspace

Hi! I noticed that in your scratchpad / draft / alternative article User:Anirvan/Anti-Brahmanism you have the categories still activated, so it's showing up in Category:Caste and Category:Indian culture. Could I suggest that you deactivate them (by putting a colon before 'Category' in the link) until such time as the article is in the mainspace rather than the userspace? (As per WP:CG, "If you copy an article to your user namespace (for example, as a temporary draft or in response to an edit war) you should decategorize it".) Cheers, Ziggurat 02:07, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

I read the page (this version) but I really know too little about the issues to say much about the content. Over all, it left me with a positive impression of the group as well-meaning people. Wendy Doniger

I was directed to the Wendy Doniger article by an RfC a few weeks ago and have been spent an enormous amount of time attempting to reason with a particular editor who has developed quite a sense of ownership. I seem to have made little headway and have come to believe I might be going about it the wrong way. persistent problem with user karthik

There has been persistent vandalism from user Karthikcomplex both in the Praveen Togadia article as well as the Vishwa Hindu Parishad article. I've reverted it in the latter, but I will also report him.Plz watch the vhp article for further vandalism on his part.

Dalitstan

Here are my problems with your edits, which I feel whitewash what is essentially hate-speech in the "books"

Since the "books" do not fulfil WP:Reliable Sources they are not books and can't be listed without qualification. Reputable is not a matter of opinion on wikipedia. There are criteria for reputability. Check the policies. They are not published "AT ALL". Anyone can tout any garbage as a "book" on the internet. If they are not circulated by a publishing corp with fact checkers, editors, proofreaders etc. they cannot be listed as books. If we follow your maxim, there are a whole bunch of Neo-Nazi websites that also have "books" like the ones on Dalitstan but no wikipedia article on them recognize the posts as "books".

Furthermore, look at the JewWatch article. As per your criteria, all of the links below are books:

These are all archived online in a site that claims to be a "library" (library consists of books), they are all organized into chapters, they are copyrighted etc. etc. Yet, if you look at the wikipedia article JewWatch no mention of books anywhere. All are listed as "claims".

Jewwatch.com is basically the same as Dalitstan was, except replace "Jew" by "Brahmin" or "Hindu". The same standards of definitions must be followed for both articles on wikipedia.

Per your last message, anything that is published online cannot POSSIBLY be called book because then I can show you "books" that claim that aliens in UFO's are doing mind-control experiments on dogs and Apemen from the Earth's core are secretly plotting to invade the Earth. Per your last post, again, I cite jewwatch as precedent. They have multiple "books" by multiple authors. Frank Weltner himself, plus other White Nationalists/Neo-Nazis of the National Vanguard etc etc. Still, the wikipedia article does not regard them as books.Hkelkar 01:11, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
