Image copyright problem with Image:ChainsawKittens.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ChainsawKittens.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

License tagging for Image:Popheiress.jpg[edit]

Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. Where did you scan File:Johngrantscreenwriter.jpg from? It looks like this was scanned in from a book? If the book is public domain, then this image might be too - we just need to know what the source is. In the US, all books published before 1923 are public domain, anything published before 1978 without a copyright notice is public domain, and anything published before 1963 where the copyright was not renewed is public doomain. --B (talk) 03:46, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
