Any source or confirmation of when "Goguryeo annexed Lelang"? Was it in AD 313 User:kt2

As far as my memory is correct, 資治通鑑 says so. To be precise, 張統 abondaned Lelang and came under 慕容廆. Murong Hui set another small Lelang commandery in Liaodong. --Nanshu 23:11 23 Jun 2003 (UTC)

There reimains no document of the same age that explains the end of Lelang and Daifang commanderies in the peninsula.

Quote from 三國史記 卷第十七 高句麗本紀 第五 美川王

十四年 冬十月 侵樂浪郡 虜獲男女二千餘口
十五年 ... 秋九月 南侵帶方郡

Samguk Sagi merely says that Goguryeo invaded the Lelang commandery in 313 and the Daifang commandery in 314. It does NOT say Goguryeo conquered or annexed them.

According to 資治通鑑, Zhang Tong (張統) and Wang Zun, the de fact rulers of Liaodong, Lelang and Daifang, went for help to Murong Hui, a Xianbei warlord, with his subjects in 313. Murong Hui put another small Lelang commandery in Liaodong.

Neither 三國史記 nor 資治通鑑 exmplain what happened to the former Lelang. Therefore, it is not clear whether Goguryeo wrested Lelang and Daifang or just filled political vacuum. And the accurate dates of there events.

The Daifang commandery was maintained in Southern Manchuria for a while although 資治通鑑 doesn't mention it. So I think "disappeared in the peninsula" is appropriate. --Nanshu 22:48, 23 Oct 2003 (UTC)
