Yes, but what is "The 411" ?[edit]

I would assume it is something in USA culture, since I'm not American. Is it the opposite of '101', which I understand to be an arbitrary number traditionally assigned to an introductory course in an academic subject ? Over here in the US, 411 is the number you call to ask for directory assistance. Thus, the phrase "What's the 411?" is slang for "What's up?" or "How's it going?", you're asking for information on something. 24.189.90.68 (talk) 02:56, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
