The title of Portfolio (finance) seems somewhat clumsy. Are all financial portfolios investment portfolios, as the lead section suggests? If so, why not move it to Investment portfolio? That would be easier to read and to link. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 13:35, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with this point. -- — Keithbob • Talk • 20:08, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not so sure. The common term is "Portfolio" and the disamgbiguator is "Finance" so the current title makes sense. Also, the term is used in many different ways of which "Investment portfolio" is only one (trading portfolio, market neutral portfolio, etc.). --regentspark (comment) 05:02, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So why not to change the disamb to investment? Millbugtalk 01:30, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Because not all portfolios are investment portfolios. For example, a trading portfolio that is held by a high frequency trader is not called an investment portfolio. Though, technically, anything held for even a nano second is an investment, in common as well as financial usage, it implies holding assets for a longer period. --regentspark (comment) 04:48, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
