Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We're glad to have you here. Just wanted to let you know--the image you just uploaded appears to be from a copyrighted source. Please add source information by going to the image page (type Image:NAMEOFIMAGE in the text box) and editing it to add source information. If your image is in the public domain, or licenced under the GFDL, then it's OK to use; if not, you have to claim fair use, which may or may not stand up. See Wikipedia:Copyrights for details. Best wishes, and ask at Wikipedia:Help desk if you have any questions. Yours, Meelar (talk)

I have one more question--did you create that image of the Scarlet Spider? If not, you don't own the rights, and cannot release it under the GFDL. Thanks again, Meelar (talk) 19:21, 2004 Jul 21 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you mean by "no actual copyright". Unless you created the images yourself, they are copyrighted by someone else, and thus we're not allowed to use them here. Sorry. Meelar (talk) 22:51, 2004 Jul 21 (UTC)
Well, if you got them off of Google image search, someone else created them, and that person owns the copyright. In order for us to use them, they would have to release them under the GFDL, our licence, and I don't think they'd be willing to do that. We're probably going to have to delete them. Sorry about that.
To avoid this in the future, you can make sure that any images you upload are either in the public domain, or were created by yourself. Any photo that is a work of the US Federal government would be OK. Thanks. Meelar (talk) 00:46, 2004 Jul 22 (UTC)
